The LeafLink Business Insights Report provides actionable data about product sales by license, product line, and retail customer.
Let's start by learning how to navigate the interface.
When we first login, we start on the Summary view. Note that there are four other views you can toggle between: Sales, Retailers, Purchasing, and Products.
Tap the label in the top of the screen in the horizontal navigation menu to toggle between them. You can filter the data by state, brand, product category, license type, and date.
The filters you select will modify the data charts and visualizations on screen.
Next, let's learn how to reveal key business insights.
1. How are my product sales trending ?
On the Summary view, scroll down to the Sales Performance Per Month section. In the data visualizations, you can see product sales, # of orders over time. You can also observe average order value and unique retailers you sell to — over time.
By default the data will be aggregated by month, and you can adjust your filters to group data by day, week, quarter, or year.
2. Who on my sales team has the most relationships with retailers; and are those beneficial to my business?
In the main navigation menu, tap on the Sales view. If your team sells for multiple brands, use the brand filter up top to select the one you want to assess.
Use the state filter to zoom in on a market; use the license type filter to drill into performance by adult use/ recreational or medicinal license.
Use the start and end date filters to look at a moment in time. Looking back at last quarter's performance is often useful during business resource planning.
Scroll down to the Sales Rep section to see how much they sold the time frame selected. You can also see their average order value, quantity of orders, and the unique number of retails with whom they liaise.
Use the sales rep names filter to select specific teammates, and only display their performance data.
3. How many stores is my product in? And how many days has it been since they purchased my products?
Toggle over to the Retailers view to gain a high level, and granular view of your retailer relationships.
At the top of the screen a summary of your KPIs will display. See how many unique retailers are buying your products, how many placed their first order within the time frame you've selected, and your average order quantity.
(AOQ is a good way to quantify customer loyalty.)
Below that, look at your Retailer Sales Summary. This chart will detail your retail customers, the number of times they've ordered from you, and the total % of how many discounts your team has hooked them up with.
Notably, here you can see their days til repurchase. Based on your order history with this customer, we predict when you can expect them to repurchase products in the Days Until Repurchase column.
(Tap the small upside down arrow to the right of a column name to sort your data, and see it ranked quantitatively. )
When you scroll to the right, you can see how many days its been since that retailer purchased from you in the days since last overall order column. Learn how often they purchase from you on average in the average days between orders column. Lastly, learn the sum dollar value of products they've purchased from you, so you know which relationships need the white glove treatment.
